Memphis shoppers keep asking the same question six different ways: is the 2027 here yet? For the Yukon, Acadia and Terrain, yes, and they are on Mendenhall Road today. The Sierra 1500 is still on its way as an all-new generation. The Sierra HD and Canyon have no 2027 details published by GMC at all. Start here and we point you to the right page.

GMC calls it the Next-Generation 2027 Sierra 1500: redesigned interiors, more than 60 inches of digital display area combined, and an available 6.6L V8 with 481 hp alongside 501 lb-ft.

GMC lists the 2026 Canyon only as of October 2026. Our Canyon page says so plainly and will change the day the 2027 is published.
The 2026 Canyon Elevation starts at $38,900 starting MSRP, carrying the 310-hp TurboMax as standard and a 7,700-lb tow rating.
Elevation opens the range at a $43,900 starting MSRP and Denali Ultimate tops it at $63,400. A 328-hp turbocharged 2.5L, room for up to 8, up to 97.5 cubic feet of cargo room and a 5,000-lb trailering rating.

Three of these models are in stock as 2027s, one is coming as a redesign, and two have nothing published. The right move depends on which column your truck or SUV sits in.
When the 2027 is already here, the model year is not the decision; the trim and the sticker are. Put a 2027 next to any leftover 2026 in the same trim and let the two one-price stickers settle it.
The next-generation Sierra 1500 brings new V8s, new interiors and a lot more screen, so waiting is a real choice. A 2026 Sierra 1500 sitting on our lot is a known truck at a price you can see today, and we will ship it free within 100 miles of Memphis.
GMC has not posted 2027 details for either truck. Until it does, the 2026 Sierra HD and 2026 Canyon are the trucks to buy, and there is nothing published that says otherwise.
