Rivard-Royall GMC opened its doors on Mendenhall Road in August 2025. Within its first year, it became the number one volume GMC dealership in Memphis. That did not happen because of a bigger lot or a louder ad budget. It happened because the store brought a different way of selling trucks to the Mid-South and Memphis drivers responded.
We are the sister store to Rivard Buick GMC in Tampa, the largest GMC dealer in the Southeast, and we run the same way: one price on every vehicle, one person handling your deal from start to finish, and a purchase that takes about an hour instead of an afternoon.

Our Story
How a Tampa Sales Manager Came to Memphis
The Rivard story starts in Detroit. Roger Rivard moved to Tampa with a career in the car business behind him and a conviction that buying a vehicle did not have to be an ordeal. He built Rivard Buick GMC around a one-touch process: one price, one person, no games. His son Cade runs the Tampa store today, and General Motors has named that Tampa store, part of the Rivard group, GMC Dealer of the Year three years running.
Steven Royall spent years as a sales manager on that Tampa floor, selling the Rivard way to Tampa Bay drivers. When the Rivards looked at opening a second location, they did not go looking for a partner outside the company. They asked Steven. In August 2025, Steven partnered with Cade and Roger Rivard to open Rivard-Royall GMC in Memphis, and he brought two of the people he trusted most with him: Sales Manager Timothy Locke and Service Manager Eric Clover, both from the Tampa team.
That is why a store that is only a year old already runs like one that has been here for decades. The process was proven in Tampa. Memphis just needed someone to bring it.
