Rivard-Royall Community Involvement
In the Heart of Memphis
Selling vehicles is what we do. Showing up for the families and neighborhoods that make Memphis home is who we are. This is where we share the causes, events, and partnerships our team is proud to stand behind.
Why We Show Up
Rivard-Royall GMC has built our dealership on the same values that built the Mid-South: hard work, family, and looking out for your neighbor. The community involvement work you see on this page is one way we live that out, by lending our time, our platform, and our resources to the people and organizations doing real work for Memphis families.
Dorothy Day House Memphis
Dorothy Day House is a Memphis nonprofit that does something most shelters in our city are not set up to do: keep entire families under one roof while they work toward stable housing. Most emergency shelters separate families by gender, sending fathers one direction and mothers, daughters, and young children another. For families with teenage sons, that often means an impossible choice. Dorothy Day House was founded in 2006 to fix that gap, and it is still the only program in Memphis providing transitional housing to whole families together, with no exceptions for who gets to stay.
Today the organization operates three transitional houses: Dorothy's House, Loretta's House, and Joseph's House. Families receive safe housing, case management, and the time and support they need to rebuild stability. Dorothy Day House does not take government funding. It runs on the generosity of individual donors, businesses, volunteers, and community organizations across the Mid-South.
Why Rivard-Royall Is Involved
Our owner Steven Royall first connected with Dorothy Day House at a Memphis Rotary Club meeting and came away convinced that this was a Memphis cause worth standing behind. From there, we reached out directly to Dorothy Day House to ask how a local dealership could be useful, and we have been proud partners ever since. Helping Memphis families stay together while they get back on their feet is the kind of work we want our name attached to.
Find Us at Memphis in May
Rivard-Royall GMC will be on the ground at the World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, raising funds and awareness for Dorothy Day House Memphis. We are running a raffle on site and getting the word out to every Memphian who stops by. Every dollar raised goes directly to keeping Memphis families together.
Stop by our spot, enter the raffle, and help us keep families housed.
